SIGRID HAGN
Pianist. Artist. Feminist

Austrian pianist Sigrid Hagn is acclaimed for the emotional depth and poetic sensitivity of her artistry. A graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, she is devoted to reviving forgotten musical voices—particularly those of women and Jewish composers who were silenced by history. Her widely celebrated concert project “Ariela – Jewish Women Composers” has been presented at UNESCO in Paris, as well as at esteemed festivals across Europe, the United States, Israel, and India. In close collaboration with Austrian embassies and cultural forums, she actively fosters intercultural dialogue through music. Offstage, she shares her passion as a dedicated professor of piano, inspiring her students with warmth, insight, and a profound belief in music’s unifying and restorative power.

Celebrating Women Composers – A Female Dialogue of Cultures” illuminates female artistry as both a reflection of cultural heritage and an expression of the musical intellect—rich in nuance, diversity, and emotional depth. It is a tribute to the power of openness, dialogue, and intercultural exchange; a manifesto of hope and the female voice.

Music opens a miraculous gate by bringing people together. In the moment of listening, everybody is the same. It is a peaceful endeavour.
